Robert Half Accounting Clerk/Bid Coordinator in LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas

Description

Robert Half is searching for an experienced Accounting Clerk/Contract Specialist for an expanding company. Candidate must have the ability to perform duties such as, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). You will work with a dynamic team in a great work space/office and have excellent benefits and great career advancement opportunity. This permanent Accounting Clerk position is located in the Little Rock, Arkansas, area.

What you get to do every single day

  • Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

  • Assist with general accounting tasks, including G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects

  • Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing

  • Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances

  • Use knowledge of expenditure codes and accounting codes to accurately code documents

  • Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed

  • Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned

  • Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment

  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

  • Data entry experience

  • Adeptness in customer service

  • Command of Corporate Procurement

  • Bid Evaluation experience

  • Excel VBA experience highly desired

  • Excel Formulas experience preferred

  • 1+ years of accounting experience required
