Robert Half Accounting Manager in LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas

Description

One of our clients, a large premier Hospital in Little Rock, is seeking an Accounting Manager for their organization. This is a position that will report directly to the VP of Accounting and play a critical role in the organization. The Accounting Manager manages various accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, payroll, asset accounting, and reporting. Accounting Manager will manage a large team in Little Rock.

Other Duties would include:

· Responsible for accounting staff including setting goals, evaluating performance, training team, directing work

· Ensures the timely reporting of all monthly financial information ensuring compliance with appropriate generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements

· Develops and implements effective accounting processes and procedures

· Coordinates month end and year end closing activities to ensure that month end financial statement and/or budget closing schedule is completed on schedule to meet financial packet review and mail out deadlines

· Responsible for accuracy of general ledger and related financial statements on a month end and year end basis

· Works with external auditors and provides information in a timely manner to assist in maintaining the audit schedule

· Maintains current knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues for assigned areas

· Schedules and develops special projects utilizing resources and delegating responsibilities as needed to complete the project in a timely manner

· Responsible for coordinating the budgeting process and proactive with users involved in budgeting process

· Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting

· CPA highly preferred

· 5+ years of experience, 1+ year of experience in a leadership role minimum

· Workday experience highly preferred

Requirements
