Robert Half Lead Medicaid Data Analyst in Little Rock, Arkansas
Robert Half Direct is partnering with an insurance company seeking a full-time remote Lead Medicaid Data Analyst to join their team. This position will support the Medicaid and Medicare Stars Analytics team by performing insightful analytics, leading data integration efforts, and communicating findings to internal and external business partners.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Integrates data from multiple data sources or functional areas, ensures data accuracy and integrity, and updates data as needed to develop statistics and design methodologies to be used for decision making and support Medicaid and Medicare Stars program.
Consults with users or decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, and/or data validation standards.
Develops reports, analytics, and dashboards that will define, support and/or forecast rating position of Medicaid products and provider performance
Collects data to identify business trends, performs root cause analysis of issues or problems, and proposes solutions based on best practices, and current and future needs of the business.
Manages projects of various sizes, maintains deliverable timelines, identifies potential enhancements to workflows and processes
Advanced Excel user, proficient with SAS/SQL – capable of creating queries, and able to assist with developing junior analytical colleagues.
Advanced Dashboard developer in Tableau, PowerBI or similar – capable of building insightful tools for executive leadership to use
Develop analytics to support and lead performance review sessions with key internal stakeholders that identify trends and quality improvement opportunities.
Develop predictive analytics to support forecasting of membership and provider opportunities to improve member and provider outcomes
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Science/Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Administration, Health Information, Epidemiology, Actuarial Science or related field.
7+ years of data analytics experience, which includes data extraction, data manipulation, repository building and data interpretation OR Master’s degree in a related field and five (5) year of data analytics experience.
Advanced experience with rational database i.e. SAS, SQL, AQT and MS Windows based query software
1+ year of experience presenting on analysis and interpretation of data
Project management experience with large-scale, cross-functional projects
Medicaid or Medicare experience preferred
Transform information into intelligence
SQL, SAS, or other related programing skill
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
Excellent written and oral communications
Analytical skills with strong mathematical background
