Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in litigation support, assisting attorneys in all phases of the litigation process. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Senior Litigation Paralegal will play a crucial role in the success of our litigation practice by providing comprehensive support to our attorneys and contributing to the achievement of our clients' legal objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage and organize all aspects of litigation cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and responses, preparing motions, and maintaining case files.

  • Discovery Support: Assist in the management and coordination of the discovery process, including reviewing, organizing, and analyzing documents, conducting legal research, and preparing discovery materials for production.

  • Trial Preparation: Prepare trial exhibits, witness materials, and trial notebooks, coordinate with witnesses and experts, and assist attorneys during trial proceedings.

  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research using various resources such as online databases, legal libraries, and precedent cases to support case strategy and arguments.

  • Document Management: Maintain electronic and physical document repositories, ensuring accurate and efficient document retrieval and management throughout the litigation process.

  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties as directed by attorneys, providing updates on case status, coordinating meetings, and facilitating document exchange.

  • Billing and Timekeeping: Track billable hours and expenses accurately, prepare invoices, and assist in managing client billing and collections.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals to achieve case objectives and deliver high-quality legal services to clients.

  • Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; paralegal certificate preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.

  • Proficiency in legal research, document management, and litigation support software (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw, Relativity, CaseMap).

  • Strong understanding of federal and state court rules, procedures, and filing requirements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and colleagues.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work products, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take initiative.
