Robert Half Legal Assistant in Little Rock, Arkansas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Legal Secretary in the Professional Services industry, located in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role involves managing a wide range of administrative and legal tasks, providing crucial support to our attorneys. The successful candidate will be expected to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have an exceptional organizational skillset.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough legal research on various defense cases and prepare organized legal documents

• Maintain up-to-date case files and ensure all documentation is accurate

• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in defense cases

• Assist in the management of case files from inception to resolution, meeting all deadlines

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to defense attorneys, including scheduling meetings and managing calendars

• Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions, including organizing exhibits and coordinating with expert witnesses

• Review and summarize documents, including discovery materials, court filings, and legal memos

• Prepare and file legal documents with various courts, ensuring compliance with court procedures and deadlines

• Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times

• Utilize legal research tools and software such as LexisNexis, and Microsoft Office Suites for efficient operations. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook

• Familiarity with LexisNexis and other legal research tools

• Experience in using Management Systems for organizing and tracking legal cases

• Knowledge of billing methods and procedures in a legal context

• Ability to prepare legal briefings and other related documentation

• Competency in performing dictation tasks efficiently

• Proficient in managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments

• Ability to maintain and manage accurate and organized documentation

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
