Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Receptionist in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role exists within the medical industry and revolves around the efficient functioning of a medical facility's front desk. The job involves interacting with patients, scheduling appointments, and handling insurance-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
• Schedule patient appointments effectively and accurately
• Handle insurance verification tasks to ensure accurate billing
• Obtain prior authorizations for procedures as required
• Perform receptionist duties such as welcoming and directing patients
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records
• Resolve patient inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
• Monitor patient accounts and take necessary actions
• Ensure the front desk area remains organized and presentable
• Adhere to all relevant regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Requirements • Proficiency in Medical Insurance Verification
• Experience in handling Prior Authorizations
• Proficiency in Patient Scheduling
• Excellent Receptionist Duties skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• High level of discretion and judgement
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
