Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop financial plans and strategies.

  • Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations to management for improving financial performance.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and regulatory requirements, including tax filings and reporting.

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounting procedures.

  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.

  • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate relevant changes to stakeholders.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.

  • years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
