Robert Half Accounting Specialist in Littleton, Colorado
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Littleton, Colorado. This role involves a variety of responsibilities pertaining to indirect taxes, customer support, and data entry. This role is vital in our team of six, offering support to customers who may encounter difficulties with our website and providing assistance with sales, use, and payroll taxes.
Responsibilities:
• Handle all aspects of indirect taxation, including Sales and Use Tax and Payroll Tax
• Provide comprehensive customer support, including assisting with website difficulties
• Work in a team of six members to ensure smooth operations
• Input data into the company's proprietary software and Excel
• Resolve customer inquiries related to credit applications and payments
• Monitor customer accounts and carry out actions to collect overdue payments
• Maintain an organized and systematic approach to handling daily tasks
• Show a willingness to learn and adapt to routine tasks
• Ensure punctuality and reliability in all tasks and responsibilities
• Use skills in 'Sales Tax', 'Vertex Sales & Use Tax', 'Payroll Taxes', 'Payroll Tax Returns' to effectively perform duties. Requirements • Proficiency in Sales Tax procedures and legislation
• Experience with Vertex Sales & Use Tax software
• Knowledge and experience in handling Payroll Taxes
• Ability to prepare and submit Payroll Tax Returns
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software and databases.
