Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Livonia, Michigan. This is a part-time role (2 days a week - flexible on days) This role operates within a machine tool company and primarily involves accounting and treasury work. We are seeking someone who can handle a broad range of responsibilities from reconciling cash to inputting payroll into the system.
Responsibilities:
• Reconciling cash on a regular basis to ensure accurate financial records
• Inputting payroll data into the system, ensuring all information is correctly processed
• Keeping up to date with accounting software, currently SAGE 50
• Performing treasury work and banking tasks to manage the company's financial operations
• Ensuring the company's financial files are up to date and organized
• Processing journal entries and generating monthly statements
• Sending all necessary information to the parent company in Taiwan
• Assisting in the preparation and management of the company's balance sheet
• Performing month end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in a Sr. Accountant or similar role is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
• Proficiency in Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite is highly desirable
• Experience with Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is necessary
• Expertise in General Ledger management and Journal Entries is required
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Must be authorized to work in the country of employment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
