Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a meticulous and organized Payroll Clerk in the Wholesale Distribution industry. The position is based in Lodi, California and will involve managing payroll processes, reviewing timesheets, and making necessary corrections. As a key part of our team, you will be expected to handle a high volume of timesheets and utilize Microsoft Excel to ensure accuracy in payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Review timesheets for accuracy and make necessary adjustments to hours or sick pay • Edit and review up to 100 timesheets on a biweekly basis • Process payroll changes and updates efficiently • Use Microsoft Excel to organize and manage payroll data, including the use of macros, pivot tables, and V-look up • Resolve payroll inquiries and issues in a timely and detail oriented manner • Monitor payroll records and take appropriate action to address discrepancies • Ensure compliance with payroll policies and regulations • Collaborate with the team to improve payroll processes and systems • Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information.

• Proven knowledge and experience handling payroll garnishments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in using financial and mathematical formulas.

• Experience in the wholesale distribution industry is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential information.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

• Solid problem-solving skills are essential for resolving any payroll discrepancies.

• Must have a high level of integrity, accountability and responsibility.

• Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements.
