Description
We are in search of a meticulous Order Entry Specialist to join our clients team located in Logansport, Indiana. In this role, you will be vital in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders, maintaining a strong attention to detail, superior data entry skills, and a collaborative spirit to work with various departments to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
• Accurately enter customer orders into the company's database or order management system
• Review orders for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies
• Ensure timely processing of orders to meet customer expectations and delivery deadlines
• Communicate with sales representatives, customers, and other internal departments to clarify order details or resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with the shipping and logistics team to coordinate order fulfillment and shipment schedules
• Provide updates on order status to customers and internal stakeholders as needed
• Maintain and update customer information, product details, and pricing information in the order management system
• Perform regular data audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of order records
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies proactively
• Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to order status, product availability, or shipping information
• Address customer concerns or escalations regarding order processing in a timely and professional manner
• Identify opportunities to streamline order entry processes and improve efficiency
• Make recommendations for system enhancements or process changes to enhance the order entry workflow
• Participate in training sessions or workshops to stay updated on system updates or new features.
Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Purchaser role
• Proficiency in Order Entry is a key requirement
• Strong negotiation skills are necessary to effectively deal with suppliers
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must possess strong organizational and planning skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required
• Must have a strong understanding of supply chain procedures
• Familiarity with market research, data analysis, and forecasting techniques is preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Knowledge of purchasing regulations and procedures is necessary
• Must have the ability to maintain professional relationships with suppliers
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
