JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer phones, communicate alerts, and book moves with carriers
Complete and thorough order entry
Determine proper routing based on service level and cost/cost-comparisons
Confirm shipments are picked up and on schedule
Confirm/complete routings in the system
Properly alert agents/stations for pick up’s and deliveries
Insure that proper procedure is maintained during p/u, booking, costing, tracing, delivery, and general paperwork processing
Timely communication with customers and sales persons regarding costing/quoting and tracking shipments
Maintains exemplary professionalism and tact when dealing with internal and external customers
Work with executives, managers, salespersons, subordinates, and customers to resolve issues in an efficient and timely manner
Continually look to implement better processes
Working knowledge of airlines and agent/carrier networks, rates, and routings.
Working knowledge of computer systems.
Ability to work in a time sensitive environment.
Good communication, phone manners, and organizational skills.
