Robert Half Cost Accounting Manager in Lone Tree, Colorado

Description

Robert Half has partnered with a consumer products company in Lone Tree that is looking to add a Cost Accounting Manager to their team! The Cost Accounting Manager position is offering a hybrid work schedule after training and is paying $100,000-$120,000 + bonus!

The Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Assists in managing the financial programs and supporting information systems of the accounting department, to include budgeting, receipt of revenue, expenditure of funds, and conservation of assets.

  • Assists in maintaining financial records systems in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Implements processing of revenues (accounts receivable), expenditures (accounts payable), payroll, general ledger and the maintenance of accounts and sub-ledgers, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures, and ensures maintenance of appropriate internal control safeguards.

  • Maintains tracking of assets and liabilities.

  • Initiates bank transactions, including ACH, EFT, wire payments and intercompany transfers.

  • Coordinates the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.

  • Prepares monthly forecast spreadsheet for company financial review via conference call.

  • Works with tax accountants to produce annual tax returns.

  • Works with outside accounting firm to produce annual reviewed financial statements.

  • Assists with bank audits.

  • Back-up for payroll processing.

Requirements for the Cost Accounting Manager include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

  • 6+ years of accounting experience

  • Manufacturing/cost accounting experience

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience

  • Inventory experience
