Description
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive housing solutions for elderly individuals. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Budget Analyst to join our team in Long Beach, California. The successful candidate will assist in preparing budget reports, analyzing budget proposals, and managing organizational spending. This role requires strong analytical skills and an in-depth understanding of financial and budgeting principles.
Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze financial data, monitoring spending, and making recommendations for adjustments.
Prepare, analyze, and evaluate budget proposals.
Review financial requests and explore alternative funding methods.
Monitor organizational spending to ensure it is within budget.
Work alongside department managers to finalize budget proposals.
Identify variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period.
Suggest improvements to increase financial efficiency.
Conduct cost-benefit analysis to aid decision-making.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
At least 2-3 years of proven experience as a Budget Analyst or in a similar role.
Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to present financial information in a clear manner.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced knowledge of Excel.
Understanding and knowledge of financial software.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
