Robert Half Client Service Manager in Long Beach, California


The Client Service Manager (CSM) is responsible for providing and managing the efficient, effective and accurate performance of all the Operations Functions of the branch including Teller functions, New Account functions and background operations tasks and duties. The CSM is responsible for ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are handled within bank policies and procedures at all times.


  1. Assumes responsibility for the management of the branch.
  • Manages all operations personnel and their related tasks and responsibilities in accordance with bank policies and procedures.

  • Ensures that all clients are served promptly, courteously, efficiently and professionally at all times.

  • Train all employees on assigned duties and responsibilities.

  • Balances branch cash daily and investigates, reports and resolves out-of-balance conditions daily.

  • Performs daily review of Insufficient Funds Report, Overdraft Report, Kiting Report, New Accounts Reports, Closed Accounts Reports, Large Item Reports and other available reports and detects and reports any suspicious activities to the Director of Branch Administration or the Operations Administrator.

  • Process items on Insufficient Funds Report and Overdraft Report timely and accurately. Obtain approvals as needed based upon bank policy.

  • Ensures that all of the security and safety procedures are adhered to on a daily basis, including the testing of the security systems equipment at least monthly.

  • Reports any losses to the Chief Operating Officer immediately.

  1. Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective and accurate performance of all Teller and New Account Functions.
  • Ensures that all Teller functions are completed accurately and timely including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cashier’s checks, wires, and cash balancing.

  • Performs all New Accounts functions including opening and closing accounts, check orders, online banking applications, eVue applications, stop payment orders, account maintenance and supercedures.

  • Performs all other Operations functions including Online Banking support, debit card issuance, courier agreements and processing, credit ratings, returned items, stop payments, in-mail and courier deposits, cash orders and shipments, Currency Transaction Reports, Suspicious Activity Notifications to the BSA officer and monthly certifications.

  • Performs dormant and inactive accounts functions, and participates in annual escheatment functions.

  • Ensures that all certifications are completed timely and accurately, and that all discrepancies are reported immediately to the Operations Administrator.



  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Teller, New Account and Operations procedures. Thorough understanding of banking regulations and standard banking practices.

Experience Required:

  • Previous management experience and a minimum of 3 years bank experience in banking.
