This role's duties will require planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. The ideal candidate for this position can lead with integrity and reliability and have the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services. What you get to do every single day

  • Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

  • Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation

  • Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

  • Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team

  • Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash

  • Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

  • Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

  • Comfortable in taking on tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners

  • Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

Requirements - Analyze Financial Statements experience

  • Hands-on experience with Year-end Reporting

  • Skills in Year-end Close

  • Practical knowledge of Monthly Financial Statements

  • General familiarity with financial statements consolidation

  • Experience with year end closings

  • Comprehension of Year-end Audits

  • Annual Audited Financial Statements experience required

  • Consolidated Financial Statements experience

  • Proven knowledge of Financial Statement Audits

  • Prior experience with Year-end Tax

  • Quality experience with Personal Financial Statements

  • Financial Statement experience

  • Earlier work involving Budget allocations

  • Well-founded grasp of financial statement preparation

  • Solid understanding of Audited Financial Statements

  • Previous experience working with Annual Operating Budget

  • Good understanding of budget management

  • Wide ranging experience with Year-end Financial Statements

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Prior work done in public accounting is desired

  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
