Robert Half Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper in Long Beach, California
Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team in the logistics industry, based in Long Beach, California. The role involves managing and processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer inquiries. The Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper will also monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process and manage customer credit applications
• Maintain and update customer credit records in a timely manner
• Resolve customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions to ensure financial stability
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
• Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payment and receipt of funds
• Maintain the general ledger and perform journal entries as needed
• Assist with month-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial records and processes
• Understand and navigate the logistics industry to best serve our customers. Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper.
• Prior experience in the Logistics Industry is a MUST.
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is required.
• Knowledge of General Ledger management is essential.
• Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software platforms.
• Ability to handle logistics-related accounting tasks efficiently.
