Robert Half Accounting Manager in Long Island City, New York
Description
My client is a well-established family owned logistics company.
The CFO is hiring an Accounting Manager as a new addition to the team. The CFO will look at a strong Senior Accountant ready to take the next step to becoming a manager.
They are located in LIC, close to the subway. They are in the office 5 days a week.
As always, these are permanent, full time, fully benefited salaried positions (these are NOT temp, or temp to perm).
Compensation is based on experience:
The Accounting Manager is between $120 - $150k base + discretionary bonus
The role will cover:
Managing a small team of AP/AR/Payroll
Running the month end close Working on the month end close
Supporting the preparation of the financial statements
Intercompany transactions
Providing recommendations for process improvements and best practices
They recently implemented a new internal system, so post implementation support
Who are you?
Open to industry
Pubic accounting foundation is a +
Highly proficient in Excel (Pivot tables etc.)
A minimum of a BA/BS in Accounting from a top accredited school
7+ years of experience.
Exceptional communications skills are required. A great dynamic personality and the ability to work along your fellow colleagues is crucial. He or she must be able to effectively collaborate with individuals both inside and outside the company.
