A current opening through Robert Half, seeks an ambitious, determined Controller to join the team at a prominent professional services company. In this leadership role, you will manage an accounting and clerical department, plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation
Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports
Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation
Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
Progressive accounting experience
CPA is preferred
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
