This essential role involves gathering and compiling cost information, maintaining an expense database, and ensuring the accuracy of standard costs. The salary range will be $65,000 - $80,000 DOE with long-term growth and fantastic team culture!

Key Responsibilities:
Verify standard costs and perform variance analysis between actuals, forecasts, and budgets.
Forecast, plan, and document variable costs such as raw material purchases, labor, and operational expenses.
Collect and organize cost data, keeping an accurate database of expenses.
Analyze and report on actual profit margins.
Maintain and review production Bill of Materials (BOM), run times, and overhead rates.
Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations.
Create departmental and company-wide budget reports.
Assist in managing fixed assets.
Provide cost estimates for product samples for Marketing and General Accounting.
Act as a backup for general accounting, cash transactions, payroll, and time & attendance.
Aid in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Support financial and tax audits, both internal and external.
Recommend cost-saving measures.
Perform additional related tasks as required.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficient in accounting software systems for efficient processing of financial data.
• Knowledge of ERP solutions is essential for optimizing business processes.
• Ability to carry out accounting functions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is essential.
• Involvement in budget processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting is required.
• Must have solid skills in cost accounting and cost analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for team collaboration.
• Must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must adhere to strict ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
