Description
We are in the search for an Accounting Manager to join our team in the non-profit industry. Based in Los Angeles, California, this role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities that include reviewing and approving invoices, performing monthly GL and Bank Reconciliations, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. (This role is hybrid - 2 days on site.)
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the review and approval of invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct monthly General Ledger (GL) and Bank Reconciliations for financial accuracy.
• Prepare and upload month-end journal entries to maintain up-to-date records.
• Assist in the preparation and completion of financial statements to provide accurate financial reporting.
• Allocate and enter all salary expenditures in the accounting system.
• Engage in Full Cycle Accounting to ensure completeness and accuracy of all financial records.
• Maintain and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure timely collection of payments.
• Prepare Monthly Financial Reports for review and analysis.
• Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist in Budget allocations to ensure proper utilization of funds.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the non-profit industry
• Proficient in Full Cycle Accounting
• Demonstrated experience with Month End Close procedures
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Budget Allocations
• Ability to Prepare Financial Reports and Monthly Financial Reporting
• Knowledge of Financial Reporting procedures
• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
