Robert Half Accounting Manager in Los Angeles, California

Description

We are in the search for a skilled Accounting Manager to join our team in the financial services industry, located in Los Angeles, California. (This role is one site during the close week.) The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the activities of the Expense Control and Accounts Payable team, including full-cycle accounts payable process and expense-related accounting entries. This role offers a contract employment opportunity with the possibility of becoming a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Expense Control team, ensuring efficient and accurate management of expenses

• Take charge of the monthly accounting close, including review and approval of monthly accruals, reversals, and amortization entries

• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations for various prepaid, AP accrual, and tax withholding accounts

• Analyze and forecast organization’s expenses in line with managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, including review of invoice/expense reimbursement reports and payment processing

• Handle correspondence with vendors and colleagues regarding invoice, payable/expense accounting inquiries, IRA/TEFRA withholding payments, and quarterly/annual filings for state and federal requirements

• Lead annual property statement filings

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions to efficiently manage accounting functions

• Perform auditing tasks and manage billing functions

• Implement effective expense management strategies

• Regularly use public accounting skills and CPA knowledge to ensure financial compliance and efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a related role

• Proficient in utilizing Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Able to oversee and manage all Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Solid background in Auditing

• Proficient in managing Billing Functions

• Experience with General Ledger maintenance and management

• Skilled in Expense Management

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required

• Experience in Public Accounting is necessary.
