Robert Half Accounting Manager in Los Angeles, California

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Los Angeles, California. The individual will be working in the real estate industry, taking charge of diverse accounting responsibilities. The successful candidate will be expected to leverage their skills in Month End Close, AppFolio, and Property Accounting to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee property management accounting using AppFolio software

• Manage monthly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

• Handle accruals, including accounts payable and receivable accruals

• Generate comprehensive and accurate financial statements

• Leverage skills in Property Accounting to maintain financial health and compliance

• Use Month End Close skills to finalize monthly financial activities

• Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the financial statements

• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure all accounting tasks are completed within specified deadlines

• Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

• Ensure all financial operations align with the current financial legislation and regulations. Requirements

• Proven experience in a managerial role within the accounting field.

• Proficiency in Month End Close processes.

• Familiarity with AppFolio software.

• Extensive knowledge of Property Accounting methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Superior attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.

• Bi-lingual mandarin speaking candidate preferred
