Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller in the bustling city of Los Angeles, California. This role is within the banking industry and will provide a challenging and rewarding work environment. The position entails regulatory reporting, overseeing month-end close activities, and managing the accounting team. (This role is hybrid.)
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and handle regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Manage month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports
• Supervise the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient data management and analysis
• Handle both accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure smooth financial operations
• Conduct auditing procedures to verify the accuracy of financial data and procedures
• Participate in budget processes, providing necessary financial input and analysis
• Utilize ERP solutions for streamlined business process management
• Manage accounting functions to ensure all financial operations are carried out efficiently.
Requirements
• Possession of a minimum of 7 years of experience in an Assistant Controller role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Ability to handle Accounting Functions effectively
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven track record in Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Experience in Financial Reporting and Regulatory Reporting
• Ability to manage Month End Close procedures
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
