Description
Attorney opportunity! Robert Half is partnering with a construction litigation firm in West Los Angeles. This associate attorney will be assigned clients and manage cases from inception through trial in the field of construction litigation.
Responsibilities:
Oversee case management, ensuring each case is handled efficiently from inception to trial.
Conduct discovery, including depositions, to gather necessary information for cases.
Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings.
Make regular court appearances to represent clients.
Engage in law and motion practices to navigate the court system efficiently.
Foster open lines of communication with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel.
Participate in trials as second chair, providing assistance and support to the lead attorney.
Utilize litigation skills and experience in civil litigation, specifically construction litigation.
Maintain a professional and ethical demeanor at all times, upholding the standards of the legal profession.
Leverage your knowledge of construction law to advise and guide clients effectively.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate on experience, up to $150,000
Year-end bonus for meeting minimum hours, which will vary depending on the person’s salary. Additional $50/hour for anything over the bonus.
$400 paid for the employee toward whatever Anthem Blue Cross plan they chose; there are some plans that are 100% covered. This includes dental & vision. Kicks in after 90 days.
No set vacation/sick for attorneys if billable hours are met, the partners prefer vacations stay under 10 days.
401k – after one year, no match.
Paid parking in garage
MCLEs, bar fees (state and one local association), mileage reimbursement
Requirements
1+ year of experience in civil litigation
CA license
Commutable to West Los Angeles
