Description

We are in search of an Attorney/Lawyer with a focus on Media and Entertainment, to join our team. This professional will be responsible for handling intricate, multi-faceted media agreements and will work closely with stakeholders from various disciplines. The role is based in Los Angeles, California.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal guidance to company executives and department heads on laws, regulations, industry customs, and practices related to licensing, digital publishing, advertising, content production, and content distribution.

• Draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial contracts related to digital media, entertainment, and publishing.

• Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts related to advertising sales transactions with direct and agency clients.

• Support legal requirements across social media, video sharing, and streaming media platforms for all monetization efforts.

• Prepare deal summaries for use by brand partnerships, content & editorial, advertising, and finance teams.

• Analyze and advise on the ramifications and relative risk of deal structures.

• Develop and maintain template forms, guideline documentation, and training materials.

• Structure, draft, negotiate, and advise on intricate, multi-faceted media agreements.

• Provide expertise in the drafting and negotiation of agreements pertaining to licensing, digital publishing, advertising, marketing, content production, and content distribution.

• Counsel and partner with cross-disciplinary stakeholders on complex business and legal issues.

Requirements

• Must be a Licensed Attorney with a valid license to practice law

• Proficiency in Entertainment Sports & Leisure Law

• Experience with Commercial Contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating

• Ability to draft contracts with precision and legal accuracy

• Experience in Content Licensing and Intellectual Property Licensing

• Familiarity with Licensing Agreements, including drafting and negotiation

• Knowledge and understanding of Entertainment Companies' legal needs and requirements

• Proficiency in Commercial Agreements, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating

• Experience with Confidentiality Agreements and understanding their importance in a legal context

• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Legal Agreements

• Familiarity with Master Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements

• Must have a high degree of professional ethics and integrity

• Outstanding negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
