Description We are offering an opportunity for a Controller in the nonprofit sector, based in Los Angeles, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial management, including financial reporting, accounting operations, and the building of an accounting team. This role operates in a hybrid remote working environment.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to the board
• Conduct month-end close processes diligently
• Utilize ERP systems effectively for financial management
• Oversee full cycle accounting operations to maintain financial integrity
• Create comprehensive financial reports to aid strategic decision-making
• Build and manage an effective accounting team to ensure smooth financial operations
• Leverage experience in managing teams to foster a collaborative work environment
• Apply knowledge of accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning solutions
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Carry out auditing and budget processes in accordance with established guidelines and regulations Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of DCAA regulations and procedures
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Understanding of ERP Solutions
• Ability to manage all Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in Auditing procedures
• Experience with Budget Processes
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
