Robert Half Credit & Collections Manager in Los Angeles, California

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Credit & Collections Manager in the healthcare and social assistance industry, located in Los Angeles, California. As the Credit & Collections Manager, you will play a key role in managing customer credit and collection activities within our hospital settings. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of medical insurance collections, patient billing, and claim resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate medical insurance collection activities to ensure efficiency.

• Review and analyze patient accounts for accuracy and completeness.

• Act as a liaison with insurance companies to resolve issues related to claim denials, zero payments, and underpayments.

• Interact with patients regarding their bills, insurance claims and payments to provide clarity and resolve inquiries.

• Oversee the billing and collection process, ensuring it runs smoothly and effectively.

• Train staff on medical billing practices, fostering a knowledgeable and competent team.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve the collection processes.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations in the healthcare industry.

• Generate and present reports on collection activities, providing insight and transparency into the function.

• Utilize your experience with Hospital UB 04 forms in managing medical collections and billing. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry.

• Proficient in managing Cash Activity and Cash Applications.

• Skilled in handling UB04 form, Medical Collections, and Medical Billing.

• Experience in dealing with Insurance Claims and Collections - Consumer.

• Expertise in generating and managing Billing Statements.

• Ability to train employees on relevant aspects of the job.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to credit and collections in the healthcare industry.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Proficient in using relevant software and technology.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.

• Certified Credit Executive (CCE) or Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) is a plus.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
