Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Manager of Community Giving in Los Angeles, California, operating within fundraising for education. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing diverse development projects, enhancing our online presence, and maintaining our fundraising database.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee various development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

• Utilize Canva to create visually appealing and compelling communications for both internal and external audiences

• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date fundraising database, ensuring all information is correctly recorded and easily accessible

• Leverage social media platforms to enhance our online presence, engage with potential donors, and promote our fundraising initiatives

• Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members, stakeholders, and potential donors

• Manage and oversee the grant process, from application to receipt, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly

• Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies, identifying new opportunities for revenue growth

• Use strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and community members

• Collaborate with the team to plan, organize, and execute fundraising events and campaigns

• Analyze fundraising data to identify trends, measure performance, and inform future fundraising strategies.

Requirements • Proven experience in a Development Manager role or a similar position.

• Proficiency in using Canva for creating visually appealing presentations and reports.

• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.

• Demonstrable experience in fundraising and the ability to meet fundraising targets.

• Proficiency in using fundraising databases for managing and tracking fundraising activities.

• Experience in grant management including writing, submitting, and managing grant proposals.

• Ability to leverage social media platforms for promoting fundraising campaigns and engaging with potential donors.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Analytical skills to evaluate and optimize fundraising strategies based on performance data.

• A high degree of professionalism and the ability to represent the organization in external meetings and events.

• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently. Innovation starts with people.®
