Description
We are in search of a Director of Finance and Accounting to join our team in the construction and engineering industry, located in Los Angeles California. The Director of Finance and Accounting will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations across all business units, managing accounting functions, and utilizing a range of accounting software systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in large-scale construction finance to lead and enhance our financial processes.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the financial operations of multiple business units within the organization both domestically and internationally
• Lead and manage all accounting functions within the organization including project accounting, estimates and financial reporting.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget for the organization, ensuring financial sustainability and profitability.
• Conduct auditing processes to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Oversee budget processes, ensuring accurate forecasting and efficient allocation of resources.
Requirements
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance and accounting role for a large, multi location construction or engineering firm
• Big 4 CPA preferred
• Expertise in financial reporting
• Experience in annual budget planning
• Strong understanding of auditing and budget processes
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Advanced skills in construction accounting, WIPS, estimates and percentage completion
