OfficeTeam is working with a Education industry company to hire a File Clerk who loves organization and order and is a highly motivated self-starter. The basic clerical tasks of this position include maintenance/management of physical and digital filing systems, operation of office equipment, and completion of general office work. Conveniently located in Los Angeles, California, the File Clerk role is a long-term temporary-to-full-time position. Major responsibilities

  • Handle and support diverse projects on the behalf of other employees

  • Manage files from departments and employees by gathering and indexing

  • Field and answer questions about records and files

  • Ensure proper document filing as part of quality control

  • Office related tasks like word processing, filing, scanning, archiving, and faxing

  • Retrieving data within allotted time frames

  • Make sure a high volume of letters, memoranda, invoices, and other indexed documents are arranged within specific guidelines


  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

  • Comprehensive knowledge of filing

    • Experience with Word and Excel
  • Applicants should apply with a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience handling office equipment

  • Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • 1 year experience of file clerking preferred
