Robert Half Financial Analyst in Los Angeles, California

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Temporary Financial Analyst for a client in the Financial Services industry. This is an ongoing temporary assignment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our investment strategies and decision-making processes through in-depth financial analysis, research, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of investment opportunities, including financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment.

  • Prepare detailed investment memos, presentations, and reports for senior management and clients.

  • Analyze industry trends, market data, and macroeconomic factors to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.

  • Assist in the due diligence process for potential investments, including reviewing financial statements, conducting market research, and assessing investment performance.

  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, research analysts, and other team members to evaluate investment strategies and optimize portfolio performance.

  • Monitor and track the performance of existing investments, preparing regular performance reports and variance analysis.

  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed, providing analytical insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, investment research, or related fields. Experience within an investment firm or financial institution is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial analysis tools/software.
