Robert Half FSI Auditor in Los Angeles, California
Description Candidates who are interested in working for one of Robert Half's rapidly growing clients will be the best fit for this Senior Internal Auditor position. This is a dynamic position in the Professional Services industry that requires working with personnel across all functions of a company and at varying levels of responsibility. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and determining the reliability of internal controls, supporting annual risk assessment and corporate compliance, preparing audit reports, reporting results to management and other related duties. Located in the Los Angeles, California area, this Senior Internal Auditor role will be a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity.
Distinguish opportunities to increase efficiency and/or lower costs related to compliance effort
Monitor staff members assigned to projects, as well as providing mentorship and inspecting deliverables
Collaborate with external auditors
Contribute technical consultation to process owners on internal control policies and SOX compliance
Work alongside process owners to amend internal control deficiencies and execute operational improvement opportunities
Arrange and carry out the annual test plan
Prepare end-to-end process documentation including control descriptions, narratives, test plans, test results evaluations, and risk control matrices Requirements
General understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley essentials
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Relevant experience in auditing and/or advisory
Proficient in risk assessment and risk-based auditing
Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred
Solid understanding of IT auditing
Passion for and understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, and forecasting with strong financial modeling skills
