Robert Half Medical Data Entry Clerk in Los Angeles, California
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented, contract Medical Data Entry Clerk. The candidate must be skilled in collecting and interpreting data and will be responsible for entering sensitive and critical medical information into our digital systems. Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process and record data related to patient records, medical histories, diagnostic codes, and other related documentation. Update patient and medical records as required. Ensure that healthcare facilities or organizations are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations concerning medical data. Use data entry devices to input records, lists, or other data points into an electronic format. Perform quality checks on data input to ensure accuracy of the data and rectify any errors. Collaborate with the medical team to ensure accurate transmission of medical information. Maintain confidentiality and security of health-related information. Retrieve data as requested and create appropriate reports. Stay up to date with changes in the medical data system and participate in training and learning opportunities to improve performance and competitiveness. Requirements Qualifications: Proven experience in data entry or similar position is required. Background or experience in the healthcare field is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with electronic health records software. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent typing skills and ability to work under strict deadlines. Strong organizational skills. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Good communication skills to interact with the healthcare team. Formal qualification in data management or related field is a plus. Understanding of medical terminology is preferred.
