Description
Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment and maintenance repairs.
Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff, and patients.
Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment and maintenance repairs.
Conduct patient check-ins and check-outs with the Epic system.
Update patient information in the Epic electronic medical record system.
Schedule patient appointments through the Epic system.
Create organized and welcoming waiting area for patients.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with clinical staff and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
High School Diploma; additional education or certification in medical administration is a plus.
Proven working experience as a medical receptionist, with significant usage of Epic electronic health record system.
Experience with healthcare insurance and billing procedures.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and ethics.
Knowledge of medical office management systems, like billing software and electronic medical records.
Excellent customer service skills; professional demeanor, appearance, and communication style.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a busy environment.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Discretion with sensitive information and ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality.
