Network Engineer
Downtown Los Angeles (4x onsite per week)
$110K - $140K + benefits

We are seeking a Network Engineer for our manufacturing industry team, located in Los Angeles, California. The successful candidate will be tasked with the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Network and Security systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. The role also includes the provision of Tier III support and troubleshooting of issues, along with ensuring the consistency of applied security configurations and policies.
Responsibilities:
• Engineering of Security and Network Infrastructure-related solutions for projects and operational needs.
• Installation and configuration of new servers, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage according to standards and project/operational requirements.
• Conducting research and recommending innovative automated approaches for system administration tasks.
• Daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
• Performing regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
• Regular security assessment to identify any possible vulnerability and fix.
• Troubleshooting of network and security issues and remediation.
• Regular configuration backups.
• Applying OS and Security patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrading administrative tools and utilities as necessary.
• Coordinating and communicating with impacted constituencies during hardware or software failures.
• Utilizing skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Technologies, EO/IR systems, AB Testing, Checkpoint Firewall, Configuration Management, Deployments, Design, Palo Alto Firewall.
Requirements
• Must possess a comprehensive understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
• Proficiency in Checkpoint is essential
• Experience with Cisco ASA required
• Familiarity with Cisco Technologies is necessary
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems is a plus
• Experience in AB Testing is a must
• Proficiency in handling Palo Alto Firewall is necessary
• Must have skills in Configuration Management
• Experience in Deployments is a requirement
• Design skills are essential
