This is a temp-to-hire position that requires a meticulous focus on ensuring compliance with all new hire procedures, including background checks, I-9 verification, and other related processes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and compliant onboarding experience for our new employees.

Job Description:

As an Onboarding Specialist at this well-known hospital, you will be responsible for managing the onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal regulations. Your primary focus will be on overseeing and executing various compliance-related tasks, including background checks, I-9 verification, and other related documentation. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough background checks for all new hires, adhering to company standards and legal requirements.

  • Manage the I-9 verification process for new employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline and improve the onboarding process, enhancing efficiency and compliance.

  • Provide excellent customer service to new hires, addressing any concerns or queries related to the onboarding process.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all onboarding activities, ensuring confidentiality and data security.

  • Assist with additional administrative tasks related to the onboarding process, as needed.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in a similar compliance-focused role, preferably within the HR or onboarding department.

  • Strong understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations, particularly those related to background checks and I-9 verification.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.

  • Proficient in using HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other related software.
