Description
Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Payroll Manager to support our publicly traded client on a 6-12-month hybrid engagement in Los Angeles. The Payroll Manager/Supervisor will report to the Director of Payroll. The ideal person is expected to step in and oversee semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly payroll for multiple-states and 3 international countries. This person will also be working primarily with the Director on reviewing payroll as needed and help with Ad-hoc payroll projects. You will also work with the department to create and process new payroll requirements for new entities as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments
Assist with documenting processes and procedures for the payroll team working closely with Director of Payroll
Review and prepare manual adjustments to payroll for new hires and terminations
Help in payroll processing, including reviewing and approving payroll in a bi-weekly, monthly, and semi-monthly cycles
Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to employees who have questions
Requirements
Experience with domestic and international payroll
Experience using ADP Vantage and Workforce Now preferred, not required
Experience managing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees across multiple states
Knowledge of benefits, withholdings, and taxes
Superior attention to detail and thorough self-review is a must
Strong communication skills, and proven leadership skills will be key in this role
Ability to work in a high-paced environment
Experience integrating acquired companies post-M& A
Experience working for large organizations (8,000+ employees)
CPP highly preferred
