Robert Half Payroll Manager in Los Angeles, California

Description

Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Payroll Manager to support our publicly traded client on a 6-12-month hybrid engagement in Los Angeles. The Payroll Manager/Supervisor will report to the Director of Payroll. The ideal person is expected to step in and oversee semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly payroll for multiple-states and 3 international countries. This person will also be working primarily with the Director on reviewing payroll as needed and help with Ad-hoc payroll projects. You will also work with the department to create and process new payroll requirements for new entities as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments

  • Assist with documenting processes and procedures for the payroll team working closely with Director of Payroll

  • Review and prepare manual adjustments to payroll for new hires and terminations

  • Help in payroll processing, including reviewing and approving payroll in a bi-weekly, monthly, and semi-monthly cycles

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to employees who have questions

    Requirements

  • Experience with domestic and international payroll

  • Experience using ADP Vantage and Workforce Now preferred, not required

  • Experience managing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees across multiple states

  • Knowledge of benefits, withholdings, and taxes

  • Superior attention to detail and thorough self-review is a must

  • Strong communication skills, and proven leadership skills will be key in this role

  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment

  • Experience integrating acquired companies post-M& A

  • Experience working for large organizations (8,000+ employees)

  • CPP highly preferred
