Description

We are in search of a Procurement Specialist to be an integral part of our team in the Healthcare industry, based in Los Angeles, California. The role entails acting as an intermediary in a shared service model with supply chain, managing diverse tasks and projects, and contributing to process improvements. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitating communication between different departments within the shared service model, particularly with the supply chain.

• Implementing and providing feedback on their software transition for process enhancements.

• Managing and prioritizing a variety of tasks and projects, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

• Understanding the implications of transactions and elucidating their downstream impact.

• Collaborating with stakeholders and the accounts payable team to ensure smooth operations and mitigate non-payment issues.

• Providing insights and feedback into ERP transactions and contributing to the end-to-end process.

• Maintaining a proactive approach in receiving exceptions for vendor types while adhering to SOP process.

• Applying historical knowledge effectively in a new environment.

• Ensuring efficient materials management and consultation on the necessity and urgency of purchasing orders.

• Administering contracts proficiently to ensure the best outcomes for the organization.

Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

• Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist in the Healthcare or NHS industry

• Proficient in the use of procurement software such as 3M, Coupa, and CRM

• Knowledge of ERP systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with time management tools such as About Time

• Understanding of budget and buying processes

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to handle and process invoices effectively

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Must adhere to confidentiality and data protection procedures

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Must be able to adapt to changing environments and procedures

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of the healthcare industry's latest trends and best practices.
