Robert Half Staff Accountant - AR ACCOUNTANT in Los Angeles, California
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant - AR Accountant in the Real Estate industry based in Los Angeles, California. This role primarily involves managing and analyzing membership data, reconciling financial records, and maintaining accurate account information. This position will also involve assisting in the annual budgeting process and handling customer inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Handle and manage membership dues, ensuring proper collection and recording
• Reconcile financial records appearing in the membership system against the payments received
• Analyze membership data using various applications to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist in the annual budgeting process, providing necessary data and insights
• Train local associations on how to reconcile membership payments, ensuring they adhere to best practices
• Support local associations with outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies and bylaws
• Communicate with local associations to update financial records for payments and/or refunds
• Collaborate closely with local associations to collect outstanding membership dues
• Prepare routine periodic membership dues reports, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date
• Reconcile bank statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
• Update account receivables and maintain accurate customer accounts
• Undertake ad hoc requests and special projects as needed to support the team. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of accounting.
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory.
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is required.
• Must have a thorough understanding of General Ledger.
• Ability to handle Journal Entries is essential.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary.
• Familiarity with NetSuite software is a plus.
• Proficiency in Oracle software is beneficial.
• Experience with QuickBooks software is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of SAP software is an added advantage.
