Description
A company in the entertainment industry is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team located in Los Angeles, California! As part of this team, you will be tasked with preparing financial documents, ensuring compliance with tax requirements, and providing valuable financial insights to support management decisions. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. This position is on site Downtown Los Angeles 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and manage financial documents such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct bank statement reconciliations, ledgers, and accounts.
• Ensure compliance with tax requirements by completing and submitting tax returns.
• Facilitate internal and external audits.
• Provide strategic financial advice to management on budgeting and cost efficiency strategies.
• Analyze financial data for business insights.
• Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
• Stay updated with current financial trends and regulations.
• Manage payroll, billing invoices, and ledgers.
• Utilize accounting software and systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline processes.
Requirements • Must possess expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary.
• Proficiency in managing General Ledger is required.
• Candidates should have experience with Journal Entries.
• Must have knowledge in conducting Month End Close.
• Experience with NetSuite software is preferred.
• Familiarity with Oracle financial software is an advantage.
• Prior experience with QuickBooks is beneficial.
• SAP software proficiency is desirable.
• Candidates must have a professional approach and strong communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Must have strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
