Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in our manufacturing unit located in Loudon, Tennessee, United States. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing full-cycle accounting, interacting with external auditors, handling bank transactions, and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation.

• Interact directly with external auditors to ensure compliance with established procedures.

• Manage month-end close processes and journal entries.

• Handle all bank transactions and loan covenant documentation.

• Work closely with research and development teams to create budgets and analyze costs.

• Manage the calculation of research and development tax credits.

• Oversee the maintenance of business licenses in multiple states.

• Handle financial consolidation for multiple locations.

• Oversee cost accounting and work with bill of materials (BOM).

• Be responsible for budgeting and forecasting.

• Serve as a backup for accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Utilize software tools like Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for accounting functions.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skilled in Auditing and Budget Processes

• Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM)

• Proficiency in Month End Close and Journal Entries

• Experience working in a Manufacturing Company

• Knowledge of Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Costs

• Experience in preparing Sales Tax Returns and Property Tax Returns

• Familiarity with Tax - Research & Development

• Experience with Financial Statements Consolidation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

• University Degree in a relevant field

• Experience in Budgeting - Forecasting

• Familiarity with Business licenses

• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation

• Skilled in Cost Accounting and Cost Analysis

• Knowledge of Standard Cost Accounting.
