Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller based in Louisa, Virginia. This role is central to the financial operations of our company, with responsibilities ranging from producing periodic financial reports to managing relationships with external firms. You will also play a crucial role in refining and maintaining systems of records and controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting and tax filings, and providing financial analysis for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate and periodic financial reports, supporting analytics & metrics

• Refine and maintain systems of supporting records, implementing controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk

• Develop systems to track efficiency and productivity of accounts payable, receivables, credits and collections, payroll, inventory integrity, and fixed assets records

• Comply with Federal, Multi-state, & Local government regulatory reporting and tax filings

• Coordinate with CPA's for annual Review & tax preparation

• Provide financial analysis on capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations

• Support in managing outsourced firms, commercial banking relationships, CPA firms, banks, lessors, insurance companies, and business managers in all locations

• Utilize skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, DCAA, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Budget Processes, and NetSuite.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must

• Familiarity with DCAA regulations and guidelines

• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Auditing experience, preferably in a similar industry

• Familiarity with Budget Processes and financial forecasting

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for financial management and operations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
