Description

We are seeking a meticulous Accounting Clerk for an exciting role within the Accounting department in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky, United States. In this role, you'll be working predominantly with credit card accounting, invoice processing, data entry, and accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

• Set up new credit cards for employees and investigate any issues that may arise.

• Handle requests for replacement credit cards and increasing card limits.

• Complete and submit dispute forms for credit cards when necessary.

• File invoices on credit cards electronically and match them to Purchase Orders.

• Download transactions for credit cards weekly and code individual transactions to General Ledger accounts.

• Match credit card receipts to credit card transactions and invoices to transaction lists.

• Enter and post matching invoices into SAGE accounting software.

• Maintain a list of missing Purchase Order invoices for transactions run on credit card and follow up with vendors for missing invoices not received.

• Send emails to individuals requesting verification for unknown credit card charges.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Requirements • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in billing and invoice processing

• Skilled in data entry

• Familiarity with credit card accounting

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Excellent organizational skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven problem-solving abilities

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulations

• Professional ethics and integrity in handling sensitive information
