Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Louisville, Kentucky

Description

With an immediate opening available for a diligent, strong Accounting Manager, Robert Half is seeking an individual who is eager to work for a growing company. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. The ideal candidate should be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the financial management of our properties and contribute to the continued success and growth of our organization. Located in the Louisville, Kentucky area, this Accounting Manager position is available for direct-hire or contract-to-hire.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes for assigned properties.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for property owners and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with property managers to track property-level financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.

  • Review lease agreements, tenant billing, and rent rolls to ensure accuracy and compliance with lease terms.

  • Oversee property tax assessments, insurance renewals, and other financial matters related to property ownership.

  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for multiple real estate development projects.

  • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to track project costs, budgets, and financial performance.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA designation preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the real estate development industry.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

  • Experience with real estate and construction accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Sage Timberline) preferred.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

  • Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation.

  • Prior experience with AIA Billing and Documentation.
