Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk based in Louisville, Kentucky. The chosen candidate will be part of a team operating within the insurance industry. The role involves dealing with customer billing queries and maintaining accurate customer records, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Create and send invoices to clients using both automated and manual systems.

• Act as the main point of contact for agents and insureds on any billing-related matters.

• Prepare and reconcile daily bank deposits and cash receipts.

• Handle daily posting of cash receipt activity against invoices.

• Maintain schedules of invoicing and cash receipts for internal and external financial reporting.

• Collaborate with the team to determine next steps on past due accounts.

• Assist in calculating commission values payable to agents.

• Conduct peer reviews of invoices generated by other Billing team members.

• Liaise with other departments, divisions, and billing software providers.

• Support the CFO with special projects as needed, including periodic audits. Requirements • Proficiency in MS Excel is essential for this role

• Prior experience in billing is required

• Experience in generating and managing customer invoices is crucial

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is important

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is vital

• Familiarity with billing software and systems is a plus.
