Description We are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our team based in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and resolving any issues related to customer credit. As a Collections Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team working within the telecom industry, offering a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Contacting customers via various communication methods to collect outstanding debts

• Negotiating payment plans and settlements with customers to ensure resolution of overdue accounts

• Updating customer account information and payment arrangements accurately in the database

• Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies and disputes in a timely manner

• Providing high-quality customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns professionally and courteously

• Collaborating with other departments to resolve customer issues and improve collection processes

• Utilizing B2B collections techniques and computer research skills to optimize collection efforts Requirements • Proficiency in B2B collections, with a proven track record of successfully recovering debts

• Strong computer research skills to effectively locate and contact debtors

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients and customers

• Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimum supervision

• Solid understanding of billing procedures and techniques

• Knowledge of various collection techniques

• High attention to detail and accuracy in handling accounts

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory standards in collections

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
