Description

We are looking for a meticulous Controller to join our team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. In this role, you will be overseeing all aspects of our financial transactions, cash flow forecasts, and accounting practices. This position is vital to our future planning and business decisions, and will involve collaboration with external CPAs and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring all payments and collections are accurate and timely.

• Conduct reconciliation of bank accounts and maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions.

• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts, providing detailed financial analysis to inform future planning.

• Collaborate on the creation of proformas and financial models to guide business decisions.

• Supervise a team member, with the potential to further expand the finance team as the company grows.

• Present clear and concise financial reports to senior management, including variance analyses and key performance indicators.

• Collaborate closely with external Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) to ensure compliance with proper accounting practices and tax regulations.

• Develop and implement robust internal controls and processes to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.

• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), and perform auditing and budget processes when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Controller role or similar financial leadership position.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems.

• Strong understanding of accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with auditing and budget processes.

• Ability to work with a team and provide guidance on financial matters.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.

• High ethical standards and professionalism, respecting confidentiality of financial data.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is preferred.
