Description We are in the search for a Cost Accountant to join our team based in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is central to the financial operations of our food production business, requiring a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in product pricing, cost accounting and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cost accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Work with a range of ingredients to determine product pricing.

• Collaborate with the Data Steward to contribute to the list building process.

• Analyze data and provide insights to inform decision-making.

• Manage inventory for both the commissary and the Haymarket.

• Coordinate data from Wherefor to Sage, currently tracked in Excel.

• Assume ownership of the role, becoming the expert on all outputs from the commissary.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions to perform accounting functions.

• Assist with the accounts payable process and contribute to budgeting processes.

• Conduct cost analysis to support financial decisions. Requirements

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Understanding of various accounting functions

• Expertise in cost accounting and cost analysis

• Ability to adhere to company policies and regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
