Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sales Assistant in Louisville, Kentucky. The role primarily involves managing the exit gate, instant return, or counter at a car rental service. The position requires an individual with exceptional customer service skills and the ability to maximize sales.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure people leaving with vehicles have the correct paperwork at the exit gate

• Check cars for damage when they are returned in the instant return role

• Stand and walk for extended periods, with provision for warm areas or heater in the exit gate box

• Upsell at the counter, asking customers for upgrades

• Strictly adhere to company policy forbidding driving or cleaning the cars

• Utilize skills in annual sales, field sales, inbound sales, increase sales, and inside sales

• Apply knowledge of retail buying, big box retail, and superior customer service to enhance customer experience

• Resolve customer service issues promptly and efficiently. Requirements • Proven experience in Annual Sales, Field Sales, Inbound Sales, Increase Sales, Inside Sales, and Maximize Sales

• Proven experience in Retail, Retail Buying, and Big Box Retail

• Exceptional Customer Service skills including the ability to Resolve Customer Service issues and provide Superior Customer Service

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in using sales tracking and customer relationship management software

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales performance data

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• High level of professionalism and a positive attitude

• Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, or on holidays as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field is a plus.
